A low poly Skipray Blastboat, from the Star Wars expanded universe / Legends. This older imperial ship featured a rotating wing, and in the post-OT era more often than not appeared with in rusty brown tones, often operated by bounty hunters or pirates, so I’ve included 2 different colorschemes with this one, aas well as a cockpit interior.
I followed the top view proportions and scale of the original design, but I was curious to try a more streamlined look, with the front wings better integrated into the fuselage. I made a few other changes and also swapped on a turret inspired by the imperial troop transport as seen in The Mandalorian. The old official model was called a GAT-12 Skipray Blastboat, you could think of this as a slightly more lightly armed GAT-10 design, better at atmospheric flight. Still instantly recognizable by any EU fan! 1st place animation category in the Star Wars Sketchfab contest
This is my entry for the STAR WARS contest.
My coiche is: the battle of Endor - final scene.
To enjoy it fully pleas wait until the camera get in position.
It is a really nice thing the real time animation in sketchfab. As you know in sketchfab FBX camera are no supported, so, to get this movie effect, i did “reverse animating”. Everything but the camera is animated. Hope you enjoy this little mini real-time film
