A final project for my studies at Full Sail. I chose to model the Sud-Est for it's iconic shape and color scheme, both of which I grew fond of while watching my father construct his model train sets. Modeling trains proved deceptively complex, but provided a fun and rewarding challenge 3D Model is ready to download for free

I have also included the high poly source assets (not shown) in FBX format for the Substance bake, as well as pre-smoothed FBXs (and the Maya scene if you use it). Warning: The high poly asset is not UV’d and will need a bit of work to have the sidewall textures appear correctly, but it is completely possible for use in high end vehicle renders.
I have included the Substance (Adobe 7.4.3) source files so you can add/swap logos/colors as needed on the rim and brakes (or anything else you want to do).
I have also included the source Photoshop PSD’s for the tire sidewalls. With this you can adjust/customize the sizes or wording. You will just need to rerender out an alpha map to project in Substance.

I saw this Train Engine once and was impressed by its sheer scale so much that I just had to model it.
I collected some reference material and started working on it, draw inspiration from a similar works from the game Metro Exodus
This work helped me get a deeper understanding of the Game pipeline.Followed all the necessary steps to fulfill the workflow of the actual video AAA game’s industry pipeline.
