This modified lantern wall clock converted to a clockwork mechanism, exhibits an arched dial with detailed scrollwork. It has the name James Michell of London on its face. The clock is part of the collection from the Moseley Homestead, a National Register of Historic Places site in Brandon, Florida. The 1886 homestead was originally owned by Charles Scott Moseley and his wife Julia Daniels Moseley and later their descendants. I really wanted to practice handpainting a lot more than usual, and see what sort of effect I could achieve if I took the time to make some stylized textures just by hand! Also, this project was initially meant to be just a collection of vegetables, however I thought they would look very lonely simply floating around, so I developed the original idea by making a little scenery for them as well. This was super fun to work on, and any feedback is appreciated! :)
