A few improvements since the last iteration (everything in blender):
Stickers everywhere !
The wheels also have some stickers, with a metal feel to the golden parts.
I separated the exported board into 4 distinct materials to ease the baking and allow to set some translucency on the wheels and on the bushings.
There are now 4 textures in total (4096 for the board, 2048 for the trucks and wheels and 512 for the bushings), so the loading time is a little bit slow… I’ll make texture atlases another time !
Cleaned up some code in BakeMyScan, that I use to manage PBR textures and do the baking operations.
I still have some improvements to make, considering at the same time the “new” state of the board, as well as beating it up ;)

Cooperation with our friends at G-3D-PrintThe front cover of the jetski was scanned using Artec Leo in 15 minutes (including chalc sraying, markers, etc.) and the post-process workflow took about 60 minutes in Artec Studio. The jetski belongs to the world champion György Kasza and his team. The purpose of the scan is to make a perfect fit bespoke fabricated composite cover, therefore some reverse engineering was necessary to get a native CAD data (step) to be able to machine the mold for the composite. For this, weve sed Quicksurface’s Autosurface option to get the nurbs surface based on the HQ mesh. It was then sent with th remaining decorated bench ends to the Museum of Nordic Antiquities, the presnt National Museum of Denmark. It seems likely that it was originally made as part of the furniture in one of the churchesin the episcopal centre.

3D scan of the southern elephant seal, Mirounga leoninae. This specimen is from the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic Ocean and became part of the collection of the NHM Vienna in 1901. Very few museums own a specimen this large, even fewer have one that is more than 100-years-old!
The southern elephant seal is Number 86 of the NHM Top 100 and can be found in Hall 34 of the NHM Vienna next to Steller’s sea cow.

3D scan of the mounted white-tailed eagle pair (Haliaeetus albicilla) from the Danube wetlands near Vienna. These birds were bagged by Crown Prince Rudolf on the 22nd of January 1889, only nine days before he committed suicide in Mayerling, Austria. The nest of the white-tailed eagles called eyrie can be as tall as four meters and is often used for many years.
The white-tailed eagle pair with a fledgling at the center is Number 74 of the NHM Top 100 and can be found in Hall 29 of the NHM Vienna.

3D scan of a skull and mandible of the mosasaurid Platecarpus coryphaeus. He was an aquatic predator during the late Cretaceous, living about 81–85 million years ago. Mosasaurids are members of the order Squamata and are therefore relatives of lizards and snakes. Fossils of Platecarpus are found predominantly in North America, but were perhaps also occurring in Europe, Africa & New Zealand.
This skull of Platecarpus coryphaeus will be on display in the upcoming exhibition “CineSaurs” that opens on October 19, 2021 at the NHM Vienna.
