First time properly using Substance Painter - Croix De Guerre 1939, given to brave souls who fought along side the allies during WW2.
Some areas aren’t as accurate as I’d like them to be due to having to work around an issue in photoshop (had to mess about with the UV a little, so there’s a tiny bit of weirdness). That said, this has been an important breakthrough in my workflow and I’ve finally entered the realm of PBR.
Whilst I do own (and quite like) Quixel, its shortcomings are mostly performance based, whereas Substance does very well in this case. The thing with Substance is pinpoint accuracy is at a loss along with important things like proper brush scaling on both U and V. I’ve yet to check out the latest version of Substance though. A 3D commission of Nil, a character belonging to Twitter user Smoge!
She’s one of the shortest characters I have been commissioned to make, and has a fairly unique design, too. I don’t think I have made a character model that has so much uncovered skin, and the little clothing she has is actually a black tar. The Blender version in particular has procedurally animated tar with moving textures and displacement maps. Though I’m not personally into it myself, I was asked by the client to design this model for vore, so I gave her a simple stomach in addition to a higher level of mouth detail. Like Leilanie, she has tonsils and a uvula.

Hello! I revisited Claw machine’s draft after getting feedback about trasnitions and details, but design was updated mostly due to my freind’s and my new ideas and thoughts for this model and for our project. We decided to make it more stylised, chunky and relevant for the planned project, early on I imagined that cabinet is metalic with planks’ pattern drawn on but I decided to make it made out of actual wooden planks that reinforce the idea of barn-like arcade machine. I also refined shapes and details and their transitions, now it should be ok for model’s draft.
