This model is an almost exact replication of a JVC compact VHS camcorder I had lying around. I changed the company name for obvious reasons.
I wanted to practice 3d modelling and texturing from a real reference object, so I chose this camcorder because of the round-ish shapes and the 80s vibes.

Hello! I revisited Claw machine’s draft after getting feedback about trasnitions and details, but design was updated mostly due to my freind’s and my new ideas and thoughts for this model and for our project. We decided to make it more stylised, chunky and relevant for the planned project, early on I imagined that cabinet is metalic with planks’ pattern drawn on but I decided to make it made out of actual wooden planks that reinforce the idea of barn-like arcade machine. I also refined shapes and details and their transitions, now it should be ok for model’s draft.
