This was a very fun piece to make for Revival, I enjoyed designing and thinking about all the details and symbolism in it while also balancing having a sense of the sterotypical reaper imagery while also being distinctly unique from it. This was made for use in UE4 and as such the textures I have here are not the complete version since I planned to do some things in engine. This was my summer project before starting second year at DMU Game Art, although due to some module mix up, I spent about 3 weeks revisiting it on and off. The brief was to make a 10m x 10m realistic-style castaway island, using substance painter to texture. I originally planned to do a pirate-themed island and made extra props, but realised that they just didn’t work at all with the scene. Instead I’ve kept it very basic and natural.
