My entry for the “Fisherman” challenge on the WeeklyCGChallenge!! I came back to 3d after a long summer break with almost three months without any modeling. And it was a real blast to work on this and recover de hobby.
The scene features the Andrea Gail, the fishing boat that was lost at the sea during the “Perfect Storm” on 1991.
Also, a great chance to try the Screen Space Reflections on the water, which really add to the scene.

A sci-fi holographic computer I made that is loosely based off the IBM 5100. Originally created for Second Life, shown here in Metalness PBR. Textured in Quixel Suite and Photoshop, modeled in Blender with the HardOps plugin.
The hologram is static for now, it normally has an animation (in other engines) but I am still trying to figure out a good way to have both a smooth interpolated rotation of the rings on the bottom and a hard transition of frames on the main screen (only way I can currently think of is to use the frame-by-frame method here but that would require way too much mesh data for smooth rotation).
