An ancient Egyptian arched sistrum (musical percussion instrument similar to a rattle). The provenance is unknown as the piece was purchased in Luxor in 1908. It likely dates to the Late Period. The sistrum is pierced twice on each side of the arch where the moving pieces would have been inserted. Below the arch, we see a wedjat eye above a nb-sign. Hathor’s head is flanked by two columns and bears her characteristic plaited wig. This example is unusual for the lack of a double headed Hathor, only one side bears Hathor’s face with the back of the sistrum featuring the sun disk and horns (Hathor’s symbol). A sci-fi holographic computer I made that is loosely based off the IBM 5100. Originally created for Second Life, shown here in Metalness PBR. Textured in Quixel Suite and Photoshop, modeled in Blender with the HardOps plugin. The hologram is static for now, it normally has an animation (in other engines) but I am still trying to figure out a good way to have both a smooth interpolated rotation of the rings on the bottom and a hard transition of frames on the main screen (only way I can currently think of is to use the frame-by-frame method here but that would require way too much mesh data for smooth rotation).
