Been trying to push myself to create more complex hard surface models, so I spent the last few days working on this, a P08 Luger. An absolute classic of the World Wars, and a revolutionary design in firearms history. Not 100% accurate or specific to any single Luger variant, I picked little pieces of aesethics from different models that I liked, but most of the details are there, functional controls are there, and the important silhouettes are all there. I did design the model with “game ready” requirements in mind, specifically some of the requirements H3VR suggestions for model donations. Poly count is ~19k (poly count here is doubled because of the pair of Lugers on display). 4k PBR Metal-Rough texture sets. An update of my old low poly TIE fighter model, with windows cut in and a low poly interior, complete with pilot, added- adds a ton of depth and realism. None of it is meant to hold up in closeups, but it looks great from afar. The whole thing is ~5.5k tris, so if you want a hangar full or a fleet of them, it won’t slow down your scene. Perfect for all your imperial needs! PBR textures made in Substance Painter. The exterior is 2k, the interior is 1k, the pilot is 512x512. Cutting in the windows a couple years after the outside model was done made for some very messy topology around them, but the overall ship is still low poly enough, and no one will notice. The glass is also currently single-sided, just to be more performant than trying to have glass with thickness and refraction.
