Es wurde aber, wie das westliche – wahrscheinlich portugiesische – Wappen an der Außenseite beweist, für einen europäischen Adligen geschaffen. Als Seefahrer aus Portugal und Spanien in der frühen Neuzeit die fernen Welten erkundeten, standen Objekte aus exotischen, in Europa kaum bekannten Naturalien an den fürstlichen Höfen hierzulande hoch im Kurs. Thhe model1907/10 (here, the 1913 Landsturm cut) represented the main tunic of a german foot soldier’s unifrom at the start of the first world war (1914). This version is specific to the Mannschaften, Other Ranks, of the Prussian Army (Buttons and Buckle, red piping everywhere with Brandenburg cuffs). The tunic went trhough considerable changes due to the war, removing decorative elements, making it cheaper to produce. A M15 blouse was introduced in 1915 with a simpler design, no visible buttons and no pipping.
