I was told a really interesting fact about antique medical supplies from a teacher who taught me 3D art in the past. The reasons for a lot of medical supplies/furniture during this time being green is so that when blood sprays on this colour, it appears as black and is less confronting to patients. This is because mixing red and green together, the result achieved is a dark brownish-black colour. The drawers and cupboards have functioning hinges and can be opened and closed to store all of your important medicines and supplies! This asset was created for EDEN, the indie surreal horror game by Missing Mountain Dev. The game takes place in an Australian Manor post WWII and the Gold Rush. This took me a while, it was a very bussy year me for having fun enough. Still I managed to finish it (or I hope). I will be uploading OC’s.instead of more FanArt in the future. This was a really fun practice tho, I really wanted to study this interesting rig setting. The model is far from being exact (nor in colors or shape) from the movie model (Megan walker’s) I realized too late. Still I really loved how she looks and I’m really proud of how much I learned from this exercise! I animated her way too flirtatious, as the original wouldn’t act like that, would be just very funny and adorable instead :)!. This huge sculpture stands in the middle of Bordeaux (France). When I walked by, I was stunned by this “half flat” sculpture, and shot it with my phone. I was realy impressed by the very realistic rendering, although most of the volume has been flattened. Another feature worth noting : its proportions take into account the fact that the viewer is on the ground, so that the upper part of the head is much larger than it should be , to compensate for the perspective. This is a technique that has been know for a long time, (used by Michelangelo), but it’s interesting to see how it applies here. It’s 7 meter high, and because of this I had some difficulty reconstructing the top parts. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 112484 polygons.

I created this model based on references from the actual movie props and some amazingly faithful replicas. The geometry is relatively light weight for use in game engines. The counter animation is geometry based, so it can be used dynamically and adressed by code. Complete with 4K PBR textures. My motivation for this piece came from rewatching the Aliens movies. I took this as an opportunity to learn Substance Painter and figure out how to bake maps for a more complex model like this. It’s also always interesting to learn a few things about design in general and about the object you’re researching in specific. When researching references it helped me to find out that parts of this design are based on real life rifles like the “M1A1 Thompson” and the “Spas 12” shotgun. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 7959 polygons.
