A cső végén egy hatszögletű dobozban újabb fogaskerékrendszer van elhelyezve, amelyből felül egy ferde tartókaron a Föld tengelye és a holdgömb forgatója emelkedik ki. A földtengely felső végén van egy harmadik forgatórendszer, amely a holdgömböt tartó drótszálat forgatja. A tellúriumban a Föld és a Hold mozgása valósághű, a földgömb egy teljes kör megtétele alatt 365 és egynegyed fordulatot végez saját tengelye körül, illetve 27 és fél fordulatot, mialatt a Hold teljesen megkerüli a Földet. A tellúriumban található földgömb az 1860-as évek elején, a prágai Felkl cégnél készülhetett. Magyarországon Lauffer Vilmos, illetve Stolp Károly könyvkiadója és könyvkereskedése forgalmazta.
