This is my personal studying project called “Martian Colony”. Textured in 3D-Coat, most of the props have 1k textures.
My colony has some living blocks, the laboratory, gates to the mine with some crystals, and the mining vehicle full of them. And in the center of the scene, I placed the obelisk, which initially attracted the attention of researchers.
Sometimes I want to make some extra-polishing, but it’s time to finish and move ahead. It has optimized topology, but many of the props are duplicates, so the total number of triangles could be less. Some of my favorite props are also published separately in my profile.

To solve this problem, we used an RTC360 laser scanner, a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone and a Canon EOS R camera. In the course of the work, laser scanning, photography from a quadrocopter and additional photos were carried out. The next stage was office processing. The second cycle was implemented using Leica Cyclone and Reality Capture programs, which were enclosed in data binding to a coordinate system. The next point was an automatic combination of aligned point clouds and photographs.
