This is a work in progress of a personal project i have been working on. Ever since working on our previous project Aurora, i’ve always been thinking of ways to integrate interesting and powerful scultptures into the environment that will dwarf the player in awe. This was a piece i couldn’t get out of my mind the most though. I wanted to explore how an ancient civiliasation would visulaize the journey of a soul from the mortal plane to the after life. Taking themes from Michalangelos ‘Creation of Adam’, the piece represents the connection between Human and God. travelling from one domain to another represented through a staircase running up both beings hands. There’s still a lot i need to work on and thoroughly develop as i would still like to include some backing environment and also make the topology of the environment stand out. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 7588 polygons.

Made of beautiful white marble, this bust represents François Thevenot sculpted by Gazzeri (signature engraved on the lower rear side). It is one of the many beautiful statues in the “Domaine Chavat” in Podensac near the river Garonne. François Thevenot bought this property in 1914, restored the gardens which hosts many beautiful statues, including this one. This statue is about twice life-sized, and the white marble is so pure that it is difficult to scan and volume is difficult to read in shadeless mode. The few specs of green are due to moss on this outdoor statue.
