Mask from a complete cartonnage consisting of mask and three breast pieces. Excavated by the Egypt Exploration Society at Abydos. Ancient Egyptian, dating to the Ptolemaic period, 323-30 BC. The gold colouring reflects the ancient Egyptian belief that that god’s skin was made from that material. Other symbols of rebirth after death include the winged scarab beetle, show on the top of the head. Recreation of the crown and jewelry worn by Nefertiti, the wife of pharaoh Akhenaten. Based upon the 3d scan of the famous bust that depicts her. As I am a huge fan of cultural heritage and ancient relics, I decided to create a full body visualisation of Neferteti with Metahuman and Unreal 5. While working on that, it came to my mind remake the well known bust with focus on the clothing, since the bodymesh wasn’t created by me. But I created all the accessoires and clothes, using Cinema 4D, Blender, Zbrush and Substance Painter. I’ll paste a link to the full project when it’s finished.
