Massively used in the period from 1892 to (in the PLA and KPA) of the late 1950s, during this period it was repeatedly modernized. The name of the trilinear comes from the caliber of the rifle barrel, which is equal to three lines (an obsolete measure of a length equal to one tenth of an inch or 2.54 mm).
