I did 2 different meshes for the grass, added a cut in the center to bend each grass in an opposite direction. This way it’s nearly impossible to see the faces from above.
In the Particle View, I used a data operator (Event) with Matrix operands and Quaternion rotation in order to align particles to the normals of a sphere. Very useful to scatter objects on an uneven surface.

Quartzite pebble hammers with cental hourglass perforations date from the Mesolithic (c.8000-4000 cal BC). The perforation on this example was made by pecking and was subsequently ground smooth. Small pecked facets on the leading edges indicate that this tool was used as a hammer; it may also have functioned as a weight on a digging stick.
