An 18th century bronze statue believed to be of the Roman Emperor Trajan (mistakenly referred to as Julius Ceasar by several excited tourists who stopped for a selfie opportunity, and did not read the plaque). it is situated next to a section of the London Wall near of the Tower Hill underground station. Better photography focussing on the whole right arm and left hand would most likely have produced a better end result. Model was created from 269 photos (probably could of taken more) shot with a Nikon D5300 (using a 18-55mm kit lens) and aligned on High in Agisoft (using medium level dense cloud). This replica stands in the center of McKennan Park in Sioux Falls, SD.
It is a replacement for an older, folksy-looking wooden replica that was removed after vandalism in the 1960s. The wooden replica was in poor shape from exposure and seems to have been lost.
When the city decided to replace the replica, I supplied a copy of Frederic Auguste Bartholdi’s early study maquette to be used for modeling.
The replica was set atop the original pedestal previously occupied by the wooden replica.
I used my iPhone mounted on a painters pole with a bluetooth remote to snap photos of the upper parts of the replica. In total, I used 288 photos out of nearly 600 taken.

A plaque made of baked straw-tempered clay featuring a winged Babylonian goddess. It was found in southern Iraq and brought to the British Museum (BM) in 1933. It was named the “Burney Relief” after its owner, the London antique dealer Sidney Burney. Authenticity was in doubt for many years but thermoluminescence tests confirm the plaque was made between 1765 and 45 BC, thus slotted into the Old Babylonian period 1800–1750 BC. Plaque was then purchased by the BM in 2003.
There is a great debate about who is depicted as the plaque was renamed “the Queen of the Night”. For years argued to be baby-stealing demon Lilitu, but now Ishtar is now the accepted interpretation.
