This model has been made in Zbrush with textures added in Substance Painter. The model is based on a find at Broughton Roman villa during a Time Team excavation. The find was very corroded as you would expect and I wondered what it might have looked like when in use. I have used images of other similar coins for reference and created this model showing how it might have looked - with perhaps a bit of wear.

At the time, the horse was the prime symbol of wealth and status. The owner associates himself with exclusive circles by means of the horses on this pyxis.
