However, similar baskets could be found elsewhere throughout the Middle Ages and in to the modern period. Basket weaving technology has remained pretty stable for thousands of year. Wanted to try something a little more stylised this time round. I’ve been doing a bit of reading in to the art style and rendering techniques behind Team Fortress 2 (Over a decade old and still looking great!), and got the idea to adapt a basketball hoop i’ve been making.
You can see the hard surface topology is still in there, so this model (except the net) could be smoothed out quite nicely.
