Hebe, statue in marble, after the original model from 1816 (A874), Thorvaldsen museum (Copenhagen, Denmark). Made with Memento Beta (now Remake) from Autodesk. It is the duty of the goddess of youth, Hebe, to pour the elexir of immortality for the other gods. These are some very precious drops that she has been assigned to administer and distribute, and so Hebe is clearly concentratin on her work. She is also completely calm - the folds in her dress are almost as regular as the fluting on an acient column. However, the myth reveals that things eventually went awry: Hebe did end up spilling the elixir, and was taken off the job. Messing around with refractive materials!
The Mosquito scan (415k tris) is from Geoffrey Marchal.
Modeling:
The scan was first remeshed with mmgs and baked to a lighter version (11k tris).
The amber fragment was roughly sculpted in blender (“I have no clue what I’m doing” style), keeping the main face flat (clay strips + flatten brushes).
The small fragments inside the amber were done by splitting all the main fragment edges and applying the “shrink/fatten” tool, followed by a random Displace modifier. Exterior fragments were then removed with a boolean modifier.
Material:
The important parts are the roughness and normal maps, which are a mix of PBR textures (rougher edges, smoother main face), while the refractivity is just a product of tweaking Sketchfab settings: opacity set to refractive and using the object’s roughness.

Question to participants/Sketchfab staff: I couldn’t find anywhere in the rules that I can’t do it, but I noticed no other participants use it - Am I allowed to have a custom background? Or does it count as post-processing?
Eeey, I participated in the challenge :D It was quite fun to make. I thought of this idea that what if Athena in her fury, wanted Arachne to suffer as much as possible and instead of instantly transforming her into a spider, took her sweet time and tortured Arachne by slowly corrupting her entire body and turning it into something hideous.
I tried to go for a bit different palette ( fantasy exotic-like spiders) than what you would expect from the usual spiders, to see how that would turn out. It was really fun!
