Hand painted scene I did for my Game Graphics final exam in Digital Arts and Entertainment.
For the concept I based myself on the abandon military and scientific bases of Deception Island (Antartica), including the old whale oil refinery factories.
While searching for some reference, I fell in love with the colors and mood that some of the pictures depicted from these places . They are completly abandoned and destroyed, but their surroundings seemed so quiet, pure and constant in time that made these houses feel like the only reserves of life in the place, even though they were forgotten long time ago.
Textured in Photoshop and modelled in 3ds MAX.

Hello! This is my submission for the first assignment of Stylized Creation for Howest DAE. We were assigned to create a simple game ready character. This is the final version of my first 3D assignment for Howest DAE.
I had a lot of fun working on it, especially the texturing, as we were now allowed to use anything like substance painter, marmoset etc. Everything had to either be done in photoshop or maya and we could pretty much only use an albedo and some transparency. It was a challange to get the textures looking good without any roughness or normals, but I think I learned a lot from it.

This is my Final for Stylized Creation. We had to go from a chosen concept to a 3D model that’s game ready. Meaning we had to go through the whole workflow of making a stylized character.
