I’ve been working on a game with my team (Cotton Cloud Productions) called The Chopping Block. It is a horror theme and we wanted to have some distinctive rooms within the level, I thought a creepy painting would help add to the spookiness of the game (especially since it will disappear and reappear in another room with creepy laughter). I created the model, UV’s, and texture art. This is one of my favorite pieces I’ve done so far. And with it, my first year here, in Sketchfab. A long path that actually has passed so fast to me.
Since that day that I decided to create my portfolio online, I´ve improved my modeling skills in someway, I suppose.
Proof of that is my first appearance in a videogame credits as Environment & Asset Artist.
And the result of all these feelings, is this tribute to my all time favourite surreal Artist.
In an attempt to traslate the magic of the oniric world that René Magritte created in 1936,
I´m so proud with the result, trying to go beyond the canvas…

Build by the Venetians at the end of the 16th century it was reconstructed by the Egyptians in the form of minaret during the Egyptian period around 1830-40.
During the Turkish Occupation, the lighthouse was abandoned.
The current lighthouse tower is mounted on a trapezoidal base which holds since the Venetian Era.
The tower is divided in three parts: an octagonal lower part, the middle part with sixteen sides, and the third part which is circular.
The lighthouse was leaning badly due to bombings during WWII and earthquakes but was renovated in 2005-6.
