Kharkovchanka , code name: Manufacture 404S, is a model of Antarctic off-road vehicle. Based on the AT-T tractor platform (itself based on the T-54 tank). Galleys were used in Russia from Peter the Great onwards. The heritage of all galleys, Russian and Swedish, can be found on the Mediterranean. By 1790 this ship type was becoming obsolete. While it was large, the galley had difficulty navigating the open seas and could only carry a few guns in the bow and stern. It was essentially a carry-over from an earlier era of close combat on the seas. Some 80+ of these galleys were built in the 18th century in Russia.
