Death troopers were an elite variant of the Galactic Empire’s stormtroopers specializing in stealth, espionage, and lethality. Operating under Imperial Intelligence, they served as a protective detachment for important Imperial officers and members of the Tarkin Initiative, as well as special assignment commandos. They wore black body armor suits and specialized helmets with voice scramblers, micro-motion sensors and heads-up displays with data on enemy and friendly positions on the battlefield. Death troopers were trained in unarmed combat, heavy weapons, demolitions, improvised weapons, guerrilla warfare, and marksmanship. Experts to cover their tracks, the Death Troopers left little to no evidence of their missions. Identifiable by their distinctive black armour, Deathtroopers strike fear into the hearts of all who cross the Empire.

The entire crew cabin can be retracted below the ships hull reducing the radar and target profile of the LAAW, its mast can also be retraced to lower its overall height allowing it to sail under low bridges and narrow sea lanes. The LAAW is also equipped with the AN/SLQ-59 Electronic warfare system which can jam radar guided anti-ship missiles and is highly effective, the ship also mounts the EOSS optical tracking system which can detect targets up to 4km away. Combined this gives the LAAW excellent situtation awareness in litoral waters.
