TT 159 and TT 286 were ecavated by Clarence Fisher (University of Pennsylvania) in 1921-1923 in Dra Abu El Naga (a site on the West Bank of Luxor, housing hundreds of noblemen's tombs dating from the Middle Kingdom, scattered periods in the 18th-26th Dynasties, and the Ptolemaic period). In response to the Ministry of Antiquities' (MoA) desire to develop the site, TT 159, the 19th Dynasty tomb of the ‘Fourth Prophet of Amun, Raya' and his wife Mutemwia and TT 286, the 20th Dynasty tomb of ‘the Scribe of the Table, Niay', were selected for improvement by ARCE, with funding from USAID. In addition to conserving and opening the two tombs in 2019 through the training of 13 conservators from MoA, ARCE also provided more than 537 jobs to local workers who assisted in clearing the site and building visitor infrastructure. I uploaded the sword alone previously and planned to upload its sheath separately, but eventually decided put them together so it can have a complete showcase as a set. Both high res model and all the details made in Zbrush, painted the texture in substance painter. The animal on the sheath at first was just flat shapes with no details on it, and I thought I finished the model. Later on I looked at it again and again, eventually decided I should add more details and to make the animal figures more alive and to give them more characters, since this was a sword made for Paraoh’s battles, it just has to have that spirit. Painting the texture was another challenge since there are just so many details on the original antique. Made this piece with a heart of awe, and it was a great learning experience!

I’ve been working on a game with my team (Cotton Cloud Productions) called The Chopping Block.
