Many people are familiar with the art installationin in the Helix Park, adjacent to the Falkirk Wheel - the large Kelpies - at 30 metres high, they are the world's largest equine sculptures, created by Andy Scott in 2013. What is less well known is that a mini version of these iconic sculptures, the pre production “maquettes", some 10 feet high are currently in residence in Ardrishaig at the western end of the Crinnan Canal at the Ardrishaig waterway's centre. They have been sited there at since 2019 having cantered down from their earlier site in Edinburgh. The school objective was to create a high quality game ready model in a month (the month being shortened to around 3 weeks due to Christmas break). For the model, I chose to create a medieval knight. The Green Knight, low poly was made in Maya, and high poly was made in zBrush. High res was sculpted in 2 days and low res was finished in around 2 days. The game res model was made using the quad draw tool in Maya and UVs were also cut in the software. When creating the low res, I also split some parts off in order to allow for customization as if the model had different armor sets. The textures were made in 4 days with the help of Substance Painter. I followed UE4 PBR guidelines and did every material as a procedural. The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) embraces at its western edge, an exclusive archeological dye-house that dates back to at least the first century of the Fatimid period (A.D. 969-1171).
The archaeological dye-house layout consists of three double-eyed rows, with thirteen basins in each row. In addition, there are thirteen single basins on the northern side of the dye-house supported by a brick wall, inferring that very end of the dye house from this particular side.
Moreover, each basis is constructed of small red bricks, separated by a 50 centimeters alley, while each group of basins are separated by an alley of 20 meters long. Furthermore, each basin is rounded in shape, with a diameter of about 80 centimeters, and a height of 70 centimeters. The late 14th century alabaster tomb of Goronwy ap Tudur and his wife Myfanwy, prominent members of the family which gave rise to the Tudor dynasty, is located at St Gredifael’s church in Penmynydd, Anglesey. When the tomb chest was originally carved it would undoubtedly have been one of the finest monuments of its time. It was originally situated in the friary in Llanfaes but following the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the 1530s, the tomb chest was dismantled and moved to its current location at St Gredifael’s near to the original family home of the Tudors.
The model was commissioned by the Church in Wales and completed by Gwynedd Archaeological Trust in 2014, prior to conservation work on the tomb and repairs to the church.

I wore this trusty glove everywhere I went for the past few months, be it in my garden, pulling and seeding new plants, or at the supermarket, when shopping for supplies.
The fabric is breathy and confortable to the touch, partially coated with a waterproof rubber coating. It may indeed allow me to handle objects more confidently, yet its greatest merit is keeping viruses away :)
Overall, I’m very happy with it, and, for what it’s worth… more than just OK!
