A prop for a Battle Royale type game, with a stylized, cartoonish feel but adding a bit more detail (stickers, kombucha plates) and a slightly grungy tone. Most of 3D is mine, with the exception of some assets that are from the Poly Haven pack, and the vegetation, which is a moss pack for Scatter 5.

I’m proud to finally present a project I’ve been working on since 2015: A diorama scene depicting the Battle of Hoth from “Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back”.
My ultimate goal was to present drama and emotion through percieved detail while limiting my polycount as much as possible; Putting weight and motion into each hand-posed character to mimic the feeling one might get looking at a table with wargaming miniatures.
The concept was partially inspired by the Halo 3 “Believe” ad series.
Workflow:
No external textures were used, only vertex color painting and some baking for PBR compatability and reduced file size.
Done 100% in Blender3D.
What I Learned in the Process:
Getting to extensively use vertex painting was one of the most fun aspects of this project. I also gained a lot of experience in basic character modelling, and until now, I had never used Blender’s rigging system.
I gained so much more confidence in Cycles materials, and particle effects as well.

This is a Game Model I made in 2018 for a Semester Project while Studying Game Design at MD.H.
The Bat is an Enemy in Rain Planet flying fixed routes damaging the player when they collide. I made 3 Color Variants, we ultimately went for the dark one on the left since it clearly communicates that the bat is a threat.
