This is my attempt at modelling World of Warcraft’s Sulfuron Keep from the Firelands raid.
This model was created for a college project so any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
And just as a side note: I am aware that the underside of the model and the fact that the platform is poking out from the lava does look rather unusual, however the main reason for this is because I wasn’t originally planning to upload this scene as a physical model that could be viewed from any perspective, instead, once the model was completed, I intended to take a single, static render of the scene as if it were looking through the eyes of a player, and uploading that image to my Artstation account, meaning that I wasn’t really focussing on any of the areas of the model that wouldn’t be seen within the final render. This work was my contribution to retrogasm 2019, well is not on time as you can see but at least is finished, the idea was to recreate a videogame character , I picked captain commando from the 90’s great arcade machine.
The high res model was done in Zbrush, retopo in 3dcoat, texture process in Substance Painter, rigged inside Maya with Advanced Skeleton and finally rendered inside marmoset and for the high res model keyshot (overwatch tribute), some final retouch inside Photoshop.

A 3d model based on a museum example of a sten like submachinegun in the Polish military museum in Warsaw, the submachinegun or “SMG” was made by Edward Sitek a member of the Polish resistance during the Nazi occupation of Poland in ww2 most likely by hand and out of scrap metal with minimal tools.
The design of the submachinegun is most likely based on the famous British Sten gun mixed with the Polish Mors smg, there is also from the looks of it some Russian ppsh 41 influence of the gun as the what could be a safety, fire selector or both look fairly similar to the ppsh 41s fire selector.
