Cooperation with our friends at G-3D-PrintThe front cover of the jetski was scanned using Artec Leo in 15 minutes (including chalc sraying, markers, etc.) and the post-process workflow took about 60 minutes in Artec Studio. The jetski belongs to the world champion György Kasza and his team. The purpose of the scan is to make a perfect fit bespoke fabricated composite cover, therefore some reverse engineering was necessary to get a native CAD data (step) to be able to machine the mold for the composite. For this, weve sed Quicksurface’s Autosurface option to get the nurbs surface based on the HQ mesh. This 3D scan shows the main entrance to the Neoclassical Stadsfeestzaal, which was originally inaugurated as a banquet and exhibition hall in the early 20th century. If anything the building’s interior is even more glamorous than its exterior, and my grandmother has fond memories of the formal balls that used to take place here.
Since 1983 the building is classified as a protected monument. After a devastating fire in 2000 the building was beautifully renovated and is now used as a shopping center.

If there is one essential monument in Vigo, that’s the monument to Jules Verne (42.241217, -8.722885). The great writer devoted a chapter to “The Bay of Vigo” in one of his most famous books, 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, fuelling the legend of the Rande treasure with the adventures of its popular main character, Captain Nemo, and his famous Nautilus. Jules Verne even came to visit the city some time after writing the novel, so in his honour and on the centenary of his death (2005), the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Pontevedra commissioned this bronze sculpture from local artist José Molares and donated it to the city. Since then, the writer has been sitting on the tentacles of a giant squid in the Avenidas, next to the Montero Ríos gardens.
