It's almost a year ago that I uploaded my first ship model, the IJN Fubuki, so I decided to make one of her more advanced sister ships: The IJN Ayanami. The Ayanami was build for the Imperial Japanese Navy and when introduced into service she was one of the most powerful destroyer in the world. She sustained critical damage after being shelled by the USS Washington during the second phase of the Battle of Guadalcanal (15 November 1942) and was later scuttled by IJN Uranami. Sugimoto received Japanese patent Nr. 27,877 in 1915, and

He partnered with Nihei Otani to form the Nippon Typewriter Company in May, 1917,
manufacturing their first typewriters that same year.
The Nippon Typewriter Co. is now part of Canon, Inc.

Martin B-26 Marauder is an American twin-engined medium bomber that saw extensive service during World War II. First used in the Pacific Theater of World War II in early 1942, it was also used in the Mediterranean Theater and in Western Europe. After entering service with the United States Army aviation units, the aircraft quickly received the reputation of a “widowmaker” due to the early models’ high accident rate during takeoffs and landings. This was because the Marauder had to be flown at precise airspeeds, particularly on final runway approach or when one engine was out. A total of 5288 were produced between February 1941 and March 1945.

The Light Amphibious Assault Warship (LAAWS), also known as the Guadalcanal Class, is the primary ship-to-shore connector for the US Navy. Its purpose is to transport US Marines and their equipment to islands alongside larger helicopter assault ships and landing docks.
