My daughter found a dead hornet (Vespa crabro) body in our warehouse, and I decided to give this scan a try.
A couple of years ago, hornets made a nest in our yard, and it was pretty much impossible to walk around and not bump your head into one of these.
In terms of scans, the wings are the hardest parts, I’ve remodelled parts of them in Blender, but the work is far from finished.
I’m impressed with what Metashape did with the scanned material.

The text only states that the cup belonged to “the artisan of the eternal lord”. This is my first “full” 3D scan, combining 2 scans for the top and bottom of the shoe. I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time, and I’m glad I finally took the time to do it. Thanks @nebulousflynn for the help :) This was made with 165 photos shot with iPhoneXs and process with Agisoft Metashape. It’s not perfect but quite happy with the result. The biggest challenge was the tongue, which is very thin.
