Double-row barbed point (harpoon) made from antler found near the Schussenquelle in 1867 through an unapproved collection. In southern Germany, barbed points first occur in the Magdalenian. They most probably have been used as hunting weapons. The Bison plaquette of La Madeleine (Tursac, France), represents a bison that is licking its back. It was realized on bone through incision with stone pointed utils, and it dates back to the Upper Palaeolithic (ca. 17.000-10.000 BP). It was found during the excavations conducted by Édouard Lartet between 1863 and 1865, and now it is part of the permanent collection at the palaeolithic international museum of Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil. This model was realized through photogrammetry using Agisoft Metashape (ver. 1.5.3.). 180 pictures were taken of a resin replica of the piece, and the were processed and scaled using the software tools. The morphology of the piece impeded taking pictures of its base, which provoqued te model to not be closed in that area. This stone tool was found in ploughsoil in Kent, England. Quartzite pebble hammers with cental hourglass perforations date from the Mesolithic (c.8000-4000 cal BC). The perforation on this example was made by pecking and was subsequently ground smooth. A wooden handle woud have been inserted through the hole and that was probably bound in position. Small pecked facets on the leading edges indicate that this tool was used as a hammer; it may also have functioned as a weight on a digging stick. 72.8mm long, 50.3mm wide by 20.2mm thick. Trethevy Quoit (Cornish: Koyt Tredhewi)[1] is a well-preserved megalithic structure between St Cleer and Darite in Cornwall, United Kingdom. It is known locally as “the giant’s house”.[2] Standing 9 feet (2.7 m) high, it consists of five standing stones capped by a large slab and was added to the Heritage At Risk register in 2017. Like other portal structures of this type, Trethevy Quoit was originally covered by a mound. The remnants of this suggest a diameter of 6.5 metres (21 ft). The remaining seven stones and the 3.7-metre (12 ft) long and 10.5-ton cover slab were inside the mound. At the upper end of the cover slab is a natural hole, which may have been used for astronomical observation.
