This clown statue was created inside of Reality Capture using a little over 100 photos. I than cleaned up the model inside of Zbrush creating a low poly and high polly version. Created UV’s inside of Maya, before sending it to substance painter where I generated the texture maps. Touched up the normal and Albedo inside of photoshop. Finally uploading the final product here. Double Brougham carriage scan performed in coordination with the Arlington Court Carriage Museum.
The first Brougham carriage was commissioned in 1837 by Lord Brougham (1778-1868). He wanted a refined and glorified street cab, which would make a convenient carriage for a gentleman…closed and intimate thus allowing the occupants to conduct a private conversation.
The Brougham, pronounced broom, became popular with the gentry of the day, as it was an ideal carriage for use in towns and cities.
This carriage was built as a wedding present for Colonel F.M. Hext of Pinhoe, near Exeter. It was used during his honeymoon on the Isle of Wight and has the family crest on the door.
Double Broughams differ from Single Broughams in that they have fixed seating for four passengers and are usually extended at the front with small side windows.
