A transformer is an electrical device that transfers electrical energy between circuits using electromagnetic induction. It can increase or decrease voltages and currents in power applications. A varying current in the primary winding creates a changing magnetic field, inducing voltage in the secondary winding. The windings are wrapped around a core with high magnetic permeability. In our model, the secondary coil has fewer turns than the primary coil, resulting in a step-down transformer for voltage. This increases the secondary current. Betelgeuse is a red supergiant that shines in one of the “shoulders” of the constellation Orion. It is one of the brightest stars in the night sky, located about 640 light-years from us. As shown in this artist’s impression, the ambient environment around Betelgeuse is highly inhomogeneous due material irregularly blown away by the star. In fact, Betelgeuse is in a phase characterized by continuous expansion, and chaotic mass loss from outer layers of its atmosphere. The star is burning heavier and heavier elements in its core following its path to inevitably become a supernova. We don’t know when Betelgeuse will explode. It can be on any random day between now and the next ~100,000 years, very soon in astronomical timescales. When this will happen, the supernova will be the brightest object visible in the night sky for months. Hello !
This low-poly, animated asset includes an old warehouse and a crane. Its a machine developed by the german manufacturer Sennebogen,
the 3D model itself is a simplified version of the Sennebogen HD 655 E.
The animation starts with the first hit, then the crane slowly drives backwards, adjusts a new position for the wrecking ball and swings for the second hit on the warehouse.
All parts of the animation sequence are based on real life physics behaviour I made via a simulation in Blender software. The chain tracks move along together with the crane and the mechanical pistons are also animated.
