This is another personal project I completed as part of a series of environment pieces I’ve been aiming to interconnect in a game engine. I wanted to focus on modular asset development to prep for larger projects in the future. I also got to try out some excellent terrain brushes that I recently purchased for ZBrush. I went for an aged Lighthouse as it appealed more to my style/sensibilities (clean is boring). I started this as a fun little side project that I would work on when taking a break from my primary piece. For this project I wanted to try something new and different. My goal was to get more comfortable making strange shapes in Zbrush and also to become better at hand painting textures. Primarily painting in the shadow, lighting, reflections/ highlights and bounce lighting into the diffuse map. This character has 1 diffuse map, 1 Alpha map and has a emission applied using the diffuse. It has a poly count just over 4k triangles.
