This is a sewing machine model, based on a 1958 Singer 401a model (though this was not meant to be an exact replica). It does not contain any modeling for the mechanical bits inside, because this model I have made as a nonmoving prop in a larger project I am currently working on. However, it does contain some flat planes inside so that you guys can fake an interior with some clever texturing. This model is without textures (there will be a textured version later on, once the larger project is completed in coming months). Texturing (in progress) will be based on the Fallout 4 video game, mostly because I am playing that like crazy as of late, but also because I love Bethesda’s style of texturing their assets. A request made by a watcher of mine on dA. I decided I wanted to practice retopology, and figured I’d take a random request instead of portraying one of my own characters! This was created as part of Ashleigh Warners’ ‘Creating Stylized Game Assets’ course available through CGMA. I completed my first draft last November, but I went back over it and made as many changes as possible to get it to a place I felt confident in sharing. This is MEEPO, or the Mega Express Espresso Processing Operator 3000. The initial idea was to have this retro-futuristic coffee-station diorama that sold a particular kind of mundane story (even if it was in a sort of space-setting). Either way, this is my first fully-completed hand-painted project and I couldn’t be happier! It was created through a mix of Blender, 3Ds Max, 3D Coat, Substance Painter and Photoshop! I thought this would be a cool idea and wanted to take the opportunity to create something new for the World of Warcraft universe. I thought of this idea because I wanted to take something that exists in real life and turn it into something that might live in the World of Warcraft, and I knew the Tuskarr would be a fun culture to delve into. Since they’re based on Walruses I came up with the Milk Delivery Sledge for transporting their milk across the icy places of Northrend and the Dragon Isles. I tried to make everything fit in with the Tuskarr aesthetic and had a lot of fun with it. I appreciate all the feedback I had throughout the process which allowed me to push the project further and I’m really happy with how it looks.
