Here is a new low poly diorama originally inspired by the fabulous concept of Sephiroth Art. It has been a while in production as after initially building the Golem I left it to come up with an additional storyline. In the end I was inspired by the acts of kindness that have been occuring all over the world recently and the birds nesting in our garden. This lead to showing the gentle side of his character rescueing a chick and trying to return it to the nest. This was my summer project before starting second year at DMU Game Art, although due to some module mix up, I spent about 3 weeks revisiting it on and off. The brief was to make a 10m x 10m realistic-style castaway island, using substance painter to texture. I originally planned to do a pirate-themed island and made extra props, but realised that they just didn’t work at all with the scene. Instead I’ve kept it very basic and natural.
