Figura humana sentada. La cabeza, simple prolongación de un largo cuello, se halla desprovista de rasgos faciales. El único brazo conservado se reduce a un muñón, que parecen representar sólo el bíceps. Las piernas, cruzadas, se adelantan formando un anillo. La pieza, totalmente pintada de rojo, está bruñida. Desde su descubrimiento en el año 1970, permaneció expuesta en la propia Cueva Pintada y tras el cierre de la misma en el año 1982, se depositó en las casas consistoriales del Ayuntamiento de Gáldar, hasta que en el año 2006 pasó a formar parte del colección permanente del Museo y Parque Arqueológico Cueva Pintada. Rather than make each region of the spine it’s own upload, it made sense to upload all 4 regions together. In order for me to understand the way the spine works I studied some wonderful models on this site as well as using my own art books to help me figure out what the characteristics are for each region. The Cervical region being far more delicate and intricate for hosing nerves and allowing movement of the head. The Thoracic featuring slightly larger and more simplistic vertebra that create overlaping links at the back to prevent our backs from bending too far the wrong way. They also have longer spinous processes that fold over oneanother. Then the Lumbar region has these really heavy duty vertebra that again interlock to maximise on supporting the weight of the torso. So cool! Lastly the Sacral region which pairs with the hips to form the pelvis! This antique nativity scene belonged to my grandmother. It has no economic value in itself but it has sentimental value for me so I have decided to scan it and make 3D printing copies for my family. This photogrammetry set is composed by the five typical figurines (Saint Joseph, Mary, Baby Jesus, a donkey and an ox).
