Iconic Jordan shoe in the Bred colourway. First released in 1989, this shoe was one of the original pairs of fours to release along with the White Cements, Military Blue, and Fire Reds. This model is a 1:1 replication of the original. All dimensions, angles, and curves are the same as the real life counterpart. The shoe is subdivision ready with a base polycount of 56,640 polys per shoe. The mesh uses four texture sets, all at 4096x4096 resolution, with the following maps in use: Base Color, Metallic, Roughness, Normal. The base color map contains the transparency information. There is an optimized, One Mesh version which has a lower polycount, 25,872 polys per shoe. This was achieved by removing small stitches and smoothing out the sole of the shoe The main Blender files contain the full texture setup. 3D scan of a mount of a shoebill (Balaeniceps rex), that can stand up to 1.2 meters. Its name refers to the enormous beak that resembles a shoe. In Southern Sudan B. rex inhabits swamps and lakeshores where papyrus and reeds grow. This material is used to build their nests. This specimen of the rare African bird comes from the Bahr el Ghazal estuary in Sudan and was donated to the NHM Vienna in 1913.
The Shoebill is Number 76 of the NHM Top 100 and can be found in Hall 30 of the NHM Vienna.
