This time I wanted to make something from an actual concept instead of a real object. I took a lot of inspiration from the modeling and texturing techniques of games like Fortnite, Overwatch and other stylized game. I'd say stylized is not my strength, but I wanted to try it! I also managed to rig it and try animating for the first time to give it some spice! I'm very happy with how it came out at the end, knowing I can constantly improve on essential aspects such as texturing and modeling. I want to take the time to thank Leonardo Raponi, Claudio Tumiati, Andrea Orioli, Ilaria Troullier, Alberto Casu, Marco Vergantini and everyone in the “TheScostumati" Discord server who have helped me with various aspects during the making of this project such as modeling, texturing, rigging and animation. Hi everyone,
This is my grad work for XYZ school course.
As big fan of Cowboy Bebop I decided to make a Swordfish.
I used Maya for modeling and animation, Mamoset for baking AO and normals, fixed some in Photoshop and paint in Substance Painter.
The model has four 4k sets with texel 8 pxcm. I chose metal
oughness pipeline and got transperency map for forth set.
44.5 k - tris, 24 - verts
I add some details to the texture that appeared during the anime plot.

M24 Stick Grenade 3D Model.

Originally a much simpler asset, I began creating this model in Blender as a simple exercise before deciding to take the project further by improving the geometry, texturing and overall design of the asset. This included adding barbwire which initially was easy to make, but became extremely tedious when implementing changes and so I created a custom generator tool to improve iteration time and with considerably more accuracy. This was then baked in Marmoset and later textured in Substance Painter, using two materials with 4K texture sheet (using overlapping UVs to maximise quality) and a non-destructive workflow for fast iteration, then finally rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 3.
