Hello! I revisited Claw machine’s draft after getting feedback about trasnitions and details, but design was updated mostly due to my freind’s and my new ideas and thoughts for this model and for our project. We decided to make it more stylised, chunky and relevant for the planned project, early on I imagined that cabinet is metalic with planks’ pattern drawn on but I decided to make it made out of actual wooden planks that reinforce the idea of barn-like arcade machine. I also refined shapes and details and their transitions, now it should be ok for model’s draft. Workflow:
Maya (Lowpoly) -> Zbrush Sculpt (HiPoly) -> Maya (Cloth + Smoke simulation) -> Substance (PBR Pass) -> Sketchfab
So some things I did with this one were use Maya fluid simulations and then made duplicates of the geometry on each frame of the simulation. To animate this, ‘Visbility’ was animated on stepped mode to ‘on’ and ‘off’. The cloth was shaped using nCloth and the table as a collider. This was baked into static mesh. All of the models have mesh maps and hi polys that were baked in Substance (curvature, thickness, etc.). The hair was made in photoshop with transparency and then placed card by card on the mesh.
