The India Gate is a war memorial located astride the Rajpath, on the eastern edge of the “ceremonial axis" of New Delhi. It stands as a memorial to 90,000 soldiers of the British Indian Army who died between 1914 and 1921 in the First World War, in France, Flanders, Mesopotamia, Persia, East Africa, Gallipoli and elsewhere in the Near and the Far East, and the Third Anglo-Afghan War.
The memorial-gate was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, who was not only the main architect of New Delhi, but also a member of the Imperial War Graves Commission and one of Europe's foremost designers of war graves and memorials. He designed many memorials in Europe, including the highly regarded Cenotaph in London in 1919, the first national war memorial erected after World War I.

These buses are Canadian-built Chevrolet C-15 trucks that the British Army used extensively from about 1939 to the independence of Burma in 1948. There were a lot of these trucks left over from the British, so the Burmese converted many to become wood body buses. At Yangon they become “39 Bite Pu” meaning “39 BigBelly” and at Mawlamyine “No.7 Bus”. The 5 lines of the central panel are written in monumental South Arabian script; the text along the rim repeats most of it in Aramaic and adds a date. 90 or possibly 97 of the Seleucid Era places the construction of the tomb in either 222/221 or 215/214 BCE. During the first world war cavalry tactics changed with an emphasis on dismounted firepower and covering fire from the flanks, using machine guns and attached artillery to support cavalry charges. The download for this model includes the textured fbx file displayed here and an stl file ready for 3d printing - see images below. The stl file is based on a high-poly version of the model decimated for printing.
