The evolution of the barnacle always confused me, how does the barnacle from Half-Life 1 turn into the one from Half-Life 2, they’re completely different! So I made a combination of all the barnacles and came up with this modern rendition of a classic! This is a fan model of one of the cut enemies from Half-Life 1, the Panthereye! The Panthereye is my favourite cut Xenian and as a result it’s been an absolute blessing to finally work on this magnificent animal. It takes reference from both the original Alpha blue model as well as the more modern and updated red model, and I also made a red and blue variation of the creature in homage to the two generations of Panthereyes that were there during the development of Half-Life!
