The present fountain was built to replace the original fountain that was destroyed in 1376 by the command of Pope Urbano V. This was the result of an incident that occurred involving this fountain and the papal party returning from Avignon. A local woman objected when a servant of one of the cardinals decided to wash his dog in the fountain thereby polluting the drinkable water. A fight ensued during which the woman was killed and the pope subsequently punished the locals by destroying their fountain. The present fountain of Pianoscarano was built in 1376 replacing the original one. In the mid-1960s, a monument for fallen soldiers of the Battle of Sutjeska was designed by sculptor Miodrag Zivkovic. In the Valley of Heroes, Zivkovic set up a magnificent monument on the top of a hill. The monument enriched the space of the already famous ossuary, built in 1958 by architect Sakeb Hadzihalilovic, with the remaining bodies of 3301 Partisan soldier who died in the Schwarz operation. After two years of construction, Zivkovic’s monument was ceremoniously opened in 1972.

This one can be visited in “La Plaza la Palla” (Straw Square), it has an oval floor plan and in each one of the four sides there is a fish-tap where the water flows. At the top of the main column there is a little sculpture of a child holding a bird.

San Pietro is a Romanesque and Gothic-style, Roman Catholic church just outside Tuscania, province of Viterbo, region of Lazio, Italy.

The façade has a large rose window, decked with mosaics, hedged at the corners by the symbols of the four evangelists, and flanked by reliefs with elaborate carvings of plants, menagerie of animals, and a complex iconography of saints and figures of the old testament.
Below is a loggietta and on the ground is a sculpted main portal with a large rounded arch. The nave is flanked by rounded Romanesque arches and leads to a presbytery with a Ciborium for main altar. The presbytery has a geometric mosaic floor. The crypt has gothic tracery.
