The base idea for this scene is a task from one of VK’s Blender learning groups. But because the course itself is paid, I just used several final renders from other students as a references. So my scene is my implementation of this idea: small house in a woods, made with lowpoly technic. In my implementation it’s nowadays time, thus I added a car and electric-like lights inside. Making this project from ground zero took about 10 hours. In this project I used texture paint mode and mirroring modifier for the first time. Lowpoly modeling is a new topic for me, so I like the result I got, with using minimum of textured surfaces. The ground texture is hand-painted mix of several good and free textures, I found all over the Pinterest. Some of building’s textures are also come from Pinterest. If you don’t completely disassemble the inhale hose, exhale hose, and DSV/BOV for cleaning, it can be easy for moisture to pool internally. Hanging the hose vertically, with the DSV open and the exhale side down will allow water to drip out of the unit, in the direction of flow determined by the mushroom valves. However, given the weight of the DSV/BOV as well as any additional hose weights, this method has a tendency to stretch out the inhale hose, as it supports more weight. The hose hanger uses a simple loop of cave line or other string to take the weight off the upper portion of the loop as it hangs vertically, adjustable for any length. The string supports the hose by the HUD holder or any other attachment point.
