A simple rework of my “Cartoon Kitten American Purrrman Tank” i felt not utilising the full potential of the model by only offering the bright pink pink texture option.
A small stylised piece i created while recovering from an illness, i set myself a time limit of 2.5 hours for the creation of this asset and due to this constraint there are some minor issues with the mesh and some edges that should hold more detail have suffered but overall i feel i captured the art style i was aiming for. English Hanger: A Study in Retopology 3D Model.

This is a model of an 18th Century English hanger sword that I made originally using RealityCapture. I’ve returned to my original model, retopologized it, reworked the textures, and cleaned it up in some spots that needed manual attention. I’m quite happy with the result, and look forward to incorporating retopology in to my workflow more frequently.
The blade is in excellent condition, and the hilt is a finely crafted work of silver. Both maintain an almost mirrored finish, presenting an enormous challenge to capture through photogrammetry. The initial model turned out okay considering the conditions, but several parts of the model had issues with continuity of the normals due to the nature of the more random topology of the model RealityCapture produced. This results in razor edges looking rough and jagged, as well as the smooth mirrored surfaces appearing lumpy and unfinished.
