The main intention behind this gun was to make it look old, rugged and intimidating, combining these to give an old-school feel. The mechanism of this gun is similar to a modern minigun, the body holds the magazine on hooks which makes reloading a slow task. The style of holding the gun is tacky due to that it makes the gun a bit unstable for the user giving it a hard recoil momentum and an old-school feeling. The gun has two gauge meters one indicating the temperature and another one showing the amount of remaining bullets in the magazine. I wanted to try a colour scheme different from the basic steampunk colours (Golden/Brown), to make it look different from other weapons. Like Bitcoin, which was discovered by Satoshi Nakamoto (When referring to existing sources), I mdae the model in the form of a “Ronin” (Japanese Culture), or what we know as a Samurai without a master. And remembering that Bitcoin is the world’s first crypto coin, I made the texture seem old. Still, I gave it a golden nuance and athletic body proportions as a form of visualization to suggest that the character is a sacred figure, even like the figure of the God of Crypto. And this model is the OG version of all alterations you can see in MetaMundo.

The idea came after having explained to Linda Flowers the workflow for creating a complete character.
Kiddo (the little girl) is her first model. In a month I taught her the basics of modeling, retopology and texturing.
Synth (the elderly character) instead was born in parallel while explaining everything to her.
The basic idea was to create non-speaking characters and to be able to characterize them with actions, lights and shots.
The Unreal sequencer was the best tool to do this.
Synth and Kiddo are awakeners and travel from world to awaken gods of musical genres in seemingly neutral worlds. In this case the awakened god is that of New Retro Wave music.
All models were made through my classic workflow:
1. Zbrush for the highpoly
2. Maya Retopology + UV + Rigging
3. Substance Painter
4. Maya for animation
5. Unreal Engine 4 and Marmoset for final renderings.
