This is a fan model of one of the cut enemies from Half-Life 1, the Panthereye! The Panthereye is my favourite cut Xenian and as a result it’s been an absolute blessing to finally work on this magnificent animal. It takes reference from both the original Alpha blue model as well as the more modern and updated red model, and I also made a red and blue variation of the creature in homage to the two generations of Panthereyes that were there during the development of Half-Life!

–This project is part of a larger game concept I’ve been writing since college, a third-person action adventure with some space-sim mechanics. It’s been a learning process, but I couldn’t be happier with how it has come together. Modeling, animation, and hi-to-low poly map baking done in Blender 2.79, textures and materials done in Substance Painter and Designer.–
The Ellison Aerospace TC181 is a common low-orbit freight pusher, but it’s sturdy design and impressive power-to-mass ratio made it an excellent platform for testing experimental drive and weapon technology. The Galante was used to field several weapons loadouts before it became the testbench for the experimental Blackbell faster-than-light drive.
